Room by Emma Donoghue
Description:
Room, is a unique and amazing story about a boy's day-to-day
experience living in a small, windowless room with his mother. The 11' x
11' space between the walls of the room are actually all the boy knows
because he was born there and has never left.
I was recommend this book from my sister inlaw and she told me it was about a boy in a room. I did not know what to expect from this book. When I started to read it , it was from little boys view which I thought was bit weird at first and the spelling, the way he talks defentaly shows its from small boys perspective.
This book was not what I thought it was. I could not put it down . I just wanted to know what happened to him. I was so upset and horrifed by what they had put him through and felt so sorry for him and his mum.
When I finished the book I was left wanting more. I thought this was a true story but it is not and she has not done a follow on from it as far as am aware.
I was really shocked that it was fiction. It was written well and keep me on my toes wanted more and I loved how she wrote from childs point of view. This is somethink I would eventually like to do.
I give this book 10 out of 10. This is must read book.
